Women of Destiny hold the 6th Edition of their annual conference.



The 6th Edition of Women of Destiny Conference titled Amazing Grace took place in Sheraton Hotels on Saturday, 24th September 2016.

The convener; Joy Aderele told the packed audience of eager women and a few men who had gathered to be imparted positively that the annual interdenominational program offers the opportunity for divine empowerment and impartation for women from every sphere and strata.

She said the theme for this year’s Amazing Grace was taken from 1st Peter 5:10 which states, ‘but may the God of all grace, who called us to His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a while perfect, establish and settle you.’

She assured the attendees that God’s grace is stunning, remarkable, inspiring, phenomenal, incredible, extraordinary, astounding, wonderful, amazing, thrilling and exciting and most importantly that God is set to do amazing things in their lives

The first speaker was Tara Fela-Durotoye the CEO of House of Tara. Tara is the pioneer of Make up business which she stated that she started by institution and following the leading of the Holy Spirit and Grace of God.

Her business has empowered over 5,000 young ladies with the Tara Beauty Representatives’ Initiative.

Her life’s work has been featured on several platforms including New York Forum Africa, France24, Africa 24 by Reuters, Bloomberg and CNN African voices.

She based her success on the unique relationship with God and the hard work she has put into her business and the grace of God on her life.

The second speaker was Adeola Ebola popularly called Pastor Dee. She is the senior pastor of Harvest House Christian Centre and proprietress of Tender Oak’s children’s place.

The conference also featured many side attractions; music ministration, prayers, choreography and free cervical cancer screening by the Society for Family Health.


Another highpoint was the Breakout session with different mentors on ministry, business, career, parenting and media/entertainment. These outstanding women mentors are notable successes in their fields of endeavours.

They were Stella Uchechi Nnodi, Principal Consultant at LSDC, Dr. Jennifer Anyansi, Deputy Managing Director SFH, Adenike Adebayo a Media/TV Presenter, Toyin Adeyemo, Writer/Children Coach, Ibironke Olubamise, Pastor and Coordinator of UNDP GEF/SGP, Funto Babarinde, Principal Enterprise Officer, Small and Medium Enterprise Development in Nigeria and Namure Edoimioya, Media Practitioner/GM at African Independent Television.

Everybody present was given a copy of a magazine which contained among others articles on raising Godly children, preventing domestic violence, prayers for marriage, health benefits of fruits and vegetables and many others.
